PropelSMB is a fractional sales leadership business. We understand the art of combining theory and current trends with doing the actual work when resources are limited and speed matters. Our proven team of sales leaders have verifiable track records delivering results in early-stage companies.
How does it work?
On a contract basis, your Fractional VP of Sales will join your leadership team as a part-time executive and will play a variety of roles in the messy acceleration-stage of your business. They are supported by a vast set of proven tools, including our proprietary PropelSMB Focus and Delivery Model. They will recommend a combination of in-house and outsourced execution resources to help deliver results WHILE building a sustainable revenue model for your business.
What do Engagements look like?
A typical engagement is a month to month agreement with a simple fee structure, typically a monthly retainer expected to run between 6 and 18 months. When you gain the scale to justify a proper full-time leader, your Fractional VP of Sales will essentially have worked themselves out of a job and your business will be left with a capable team and system to scale and achieve your long-term goals.

A note from our founder.
Hi, I’m Tim,
A lot has changed since I first donned a blue striped tie and pleated khakis, literally knocking door to door, negotiating past gatekeepers hoping to get 10 minutes with a decision maker for a new phone system. It makes me chuckle at the thought of doing business that way and, while that was effective then, the profession has evolved to a place where buyers will be half way through a purchasing decision before they want to talk to a salesperson. We all know that technology has opened a door for efficiency and scale in B2B commerce, but with it came a whole new dimension of noise and distraction to small businesses.
I have a passion for small business so I developed PropelSMB’s Focus and Delivery model by combining a mix of personal best practices, large company best practices, academic principles and most of all, a system to blend the art of people and process to deliver revenue growth in resource-light organizations. Stylistically, the “tell you what to do” type of consulting isn’t for me so PropelSMB is a team plus model approach that gets us in the trenches with our clients.
When I’m not in work-mode, I love spending time with my wife Trista and our family, getting off the grid camping or fishing, or riding any kind of bike.
